Chaos at the Circus

by Destini Beckham

Trigger Warning: gory imagery, mention of demons.

Magic calls
from the great beyond
summoning one and all
to the curtain call.

With purple swirls
leading us all
to a circus tent
for one and all.

Where a somber melody
plays before us all
with the curtains covering all
did we miss the curtain call?

Then the curtains opened wide
and the magician steps outside
with the cat mask thrown aside
our eyes are opened wide.

To the horrors that tread inside
as his eyes are open wide
scars dart from side to side
on his face no longer kind.

Purple swirls
trap us inside
the circus tent
no longer open wide.

His neck has a scar
so red and wide
while his eyes are dark
with a demon inside.

Oh call call
one and all
for the doc
the hero and all.

Call call
one and all
before the demon comes
and claims us all.

Call call
one and all
those you love
before we fall.

The purple swirls
now reside
inside us all
holding us tall.

As the demon prowls
before us all
no time to run
no time to call.

This is our curtain call.
